Anyone heard this girl? She's tight. I just heard her track "Daybreaker" remixed by Roots Manuva (I like his beats). I also dig her track 'Stars All Seem To Weep' she did a couple years ago. Hey evs, you dig this stuff?

She did a great song with Princess Superstar too.
I'm real curious what her solo stuff sounds like...

Eh, I heard the album with 'Stars All Seem To Weep' and it wasn't much like that track. I like her triphop/hiphop/whateverhop stuff the best.
What's the name of the track she did with Princess Superstar?

yeah i got all three of her albums plus the best bit ep and a couple of singles...
'Central Reservation' is my favorite album by her, i'm more a fan of her acoustic folky stuff...but Daybreaker is a really beautiful album. Plus Johnny Marr plays on it, Scott Minor from Sparklehorse does a little bit of programming,
and of course Ben Watt (from Everything But the Girl - check them out too) doing a couple tracks...including the title track.
if you like her trip hop stuff, you should hear the song 'Tangent' from her first album...
she's one of my favorites....
have you heard Gemma Hayes yet? not the same musically but yet another female artist i really like a lot. she's from ireland and makes music in the vein of yo la tengo and hints of my bloody valentine...i saw her on monday and wow, her + her band blew me away. amazing stuff live.....the album just cameout in the US on Astralwerks...
i guess liz phair was on kcrw this morning...

Thanks, I just checked out her track "Tangent". It's dope!
I'm not a huge fan of the modern accoustic folk sound. Maybe it'll grow on me though.
On totally unrelated note, have you heard Jimpster's album "Martian Arts" from 97? I heard the first two tracks off that LP last night and they were extra groovy. Do you like that type of stuff?
