5.visionaries vs. hiero - Visionaries (almost a toss up but since the visionaries crew have a few solid albums as well as solid solo releases- i give this one to them, but again i expect hiero to win this one on these boards)
6. grouch vs. eligh - this is a coin flipper
7. aesop vs. bicasso - another coin flipper but i am going to give it to bicasso due to his art work and owning six original paintings by him. thanks bicasso.
8. 2mex vs awol one - 2mex (got a ton of albums, and awaol is sometimes on that abstract vibe i fell away from)

10. barfly vs. sleep - i cant call this one. i dig the projects that got going on with josh martinez and existereo, but i have yet to get into their solo works for some odd reason.

12. josh martinez vs. moka only - moka only but i dig both these canadian artist a lot
13. el p vs aesop rock - aesop rock - both these artist have gone kinda too abstract for my taste in recent years

Hmmmm, haven't quite heard enough Shapeshifters to vote (3 albums), but I'd probably probably give it to Anticon for their early years, which are dope IMO.

Dig, I need to peep this Sandpeople. Just haven't had...you know. I'll get to it. Doomtree by default for now.

3.Common market vs. Blue scholars
Blue Scholars pretty easily. Always like Geologic more than RA Scion.

LOL - Gotta go Knonam. You know I'm a huge fan.

Hiero, though I need more Visionaries stuff.

Oh, dang...ummm...I'll go with Eligh, but it's basically a push IMO.

Bicasso...he's a production genius IMO, and gives him the leg up...not to mention he releases more (and arguably doper) albums.

Haven't heard much Barfly, but Sleep is dope in my book.

LOL - Gotta go with Big Jesse. Good Clean Fun 1, 2, and High Rule are all bangers IMO. But my mind may change soon with the release of a new Unknown Prophets album.

if you want too and have yet too - peep tha candy.22(existereo & barfly) album "livin la vida boo hoo" half the tracks on there are really solid imo. kinda dark, and maybe not your taste, but i find at least 7 or so tracks off that to be in a constant rotation. but it also may not be your thing.

Yep. Unknown Prophets are dropping "Le System D" near the end of the summer I believe. I'm not sure when though. I heard 2 new songs off it, and they are doooooope. Excited to hear this one. It'll probably be a contender for '09...for me personally anyway.

I got "Galleries" by the Visionaries, but that's it. It's pretty good, but I haven't gotten into it a whole lot. I should give it another spin soon.
