Got a copy of "world ultimate" recently and listened to it on my commute today. Great stuff.

I see access has a couple CDRs by them...are those any good? What about the cd they did after "world ultimate"?

The Nonce were the business... The old CD-R stuff is cool... A bit rough, but if you're into, dusty, laid back, 90's style, westside boom bap... You just might dig it... I never listen to their second release... I would imagine it's good though...

"World Ultimate" is a classic...or at least damn close. Love that album.

I honestly didn't know they had more material.

Yep! Sight of Things is SUPER DOPE! And pretty rare. I'm glad I picked it up when I first found it. They did a reworking of their classic B-Side from their "Bus Stops" 12" "Who Falls Apart." Dopeness!!!!

They did their whole World Ultimate LP with an Akai S950 and a sequencer that used batteries. Sach said they had to run to the store to get batteres all the time they were in the studio.

if you have a record player, i'd strongly recommend you buy the Advanced Regression (http://www.accesshiphop.com/store/?itemid=12324) vinyl. it takes songs from both those cd-rs, and its actually mixed down and mastered courtesy of Deeskee. the music on those releases are songs recorded before and after their World Ultimate and Sight of Things albums.

World Ultimate is their major label record so it sounds a lot cleaner than anything they've done, everything else in my opinion establishes them as the kings of lo-fi.....the nonce were amazing.

p.s. Sach has some new songs up on his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/sachillpages). and check out the cd he did with inoe one (http://www.accesshiphop.com/store/?itemid=12665)r.....
