So so sick. He is hands down my favorite MC. I love his production, style, and flow. I think it's easily his most complete album to date. There are so many standout tracks, but this is the first one of his albums that I skip a couple songs. The beats are toned down a little bit and not as heavy as his previous two albums, but they are less grating and really minimalist. Can't wait to see all these songs live in Madison, WI on the 16th.
Anyone else checked this out yet?

Dope album for sure. Digging his flows and all the crazy drum soloing. Initially, I must say it's not my style; but his punk rock influence is starting to grow on me more. Very solid overall.

ive been into P.O.S. and the entire doomtree crew for a short minute now. great shit, i too dig the punk influences to it.... alan rremember when i claimed pos blew me away? hashahaha, mostly due to the punk influence mixed with decent hiphop. great shit for sure!
i also really like sims "lights out Paris" and cecil otters "Yellow rebel" thats also worth checking out... and hands over fist is prob my favorite doomtree release.

"Terrorish" is awesome. I love how POS always has singers from punk bands come in to do his hooks. This guy is Jason from None More Black, and he has the sweetest, gnarlyest, scratchiest, warblyest voice ever. "Low Light Low Life" is probably my favorite track, Dessa has such a sexy ass voice.
It's the end of law and order: Dick Wolf.

Damn diggingdeep! I keep forgetting about that Cecil Otter. I think I'm hitting up the record shop this weekend. I'll pick it up then.

i liked the production...i'm still not sold on his persona or lyrics...theres just something so forced about it all. i don't know how to put it...but something about POS just rubs me the wrong way when i listen and i can't pin point it.

its def a good one in my opinion. let me know what you think after you check it. that hands over fist is a good one too.
My favorite tracks on the new pos would be as of right now...let it rattle, goodbye, low light low life, optmist, and never better...

What about Savion Glover or Out of Category? Both tracks are the ish. P.O.S. is doing some other ish and that has to be appreciated...even if some call it forced?

[QUOTE=parkerc41;351365]What about Savion Glover or Out of Category?[QUOTE]
that would be a negative on those.
i like his slower down beats better such as these songs i find liking the most
Audition - stand up, pos is ruining my life, bush league, safety in speed
Ipecac - methead, music for shoplifting
Never better - let it rattle, goodbye, low light, optimist, never better.
thats list is only for starts. of course i like other tracks and the majority of all his stuff... as in i have tried to purchase everything he's put out, plus the rest of the crew. But for stand out tracks i currently have on playlist, it would be the above, and yes, i dont just listen to playlist, i'll throw on his records often to get a full pos listen on. (where's the smilie whereing the headphones access....plus the red eye fool, i've been waiting for that one???)

Yup. One of the headache beats I was talking about. That chorus is just awful. Verses are dope, though, as always.
EDIT: Savion Glover is one of my favorites, though.

haha funny about the headaches, i get those too from time to time. Savion Glover isn't bad, but it's just not my thing, glad to see it on there (the album) thou. makes for a full album of quality music. cant have every track sound the same. production is tigh all the way thou. cleeeaaaaannn.

i agree completely with you on that parker. it overall a good buy, and i really like what pos got going on with his sound and such. some of the tracks are just harder for me to say i "really like" and bump often (these tracks), but they def make for a good live jam to play(i would be stoked to see some of them live, even though i dont care for a studio version)... to speed/ hype things up at a show. i would also comment that you cant have every song being "kick back" (atleast most of the time) and still keep the audience hyped.... as for example you guys dig these tracks i dont really care for.....so that adds to the crowd being hyped...hahha.
i give the album two thumbs up. but on that note, agree there are a few headache tracks....hahaha.

Yup. One of the headache beats I was talking about. .
If you do, what size subs do you roll with. i only ask cause if you're running 12+ inch subs....the bass really could add to the headache affect on these tracks.
but at the same time "more bass please"...and eligh:bow: kills it when it comes to bumping on a good system.*
*(nodd'n head to beat - not bowing)

Only problem with P.O.S. is his choice to not rock San Diego on his nationwide tour. Too many artists pass SD and go straight to Arizona. I see it all the f'ing time and that pisses me off more than anything. Either they think SD isn't going to show up, or SD really DOESN'T show up?? He should have made it down since it sounds like most are into his new album. Guaranteed live would be better.

Seeing him on Monday for the fifth time. He always kills the live shows.
