nah im one of the few true fans in SD..been through many ups and downs. True this is definitely not a good "sports town" as many are quick to jump ship, same ones booing norv turner and the chargers were "die hard" charger fans during the playoffs and praising norv and his coaching. I think this will be a very rough year for the padres, but I will still be there at the games and watchin them on channel 4..most people will fall off the bandwagon by then and I will be enjoying the games in field seats for 5 dollars. Thats how I roll.

as if theyve had such great fans since they left....
anyways, we've been the best of the worst for so many years, it was only a matter of time before we lost that title. i blame moores

Moores is definitely a factor, hes a damn cheapskate. Would it kill to pay money for a good player and not use a lame excuse as we paid washed up scrub Jim Edmonds 6 mil to be CF? Wheres Deadmonds now?? Yeah thats right, hes released from our team and we lost all of 6 million to him. Great move. Just sucks when u are truly a padres fan, sad in times like these!

I have been a padre fan since I was a kid. Padres are cheap, period. Its not like home game tickets don't sell, fans go and support the padres, but the management does not want to spend money, they need a bat in the lineup, we have no power.
Hoffman should have retired two years ago. dude gots no fastball, all he has is his change up and hitters sit on that pitch.
The bullpen is having a pretty difficult time as well this year.
Well, hope they improve, I will still be a fan, spend the money though damnit!
moores doesnt give a crap, thats the problem. so long as he's got his new uber fancy sky boxes or whatever (or especially now that he's got his new crap). for as long as i can remember, the pads have (almost) always traded away anything that resembled promise.

i hardly ever get to catch padres games but the one i did go to this year so far was a rare win. extra innings and a walk off homer...

I have definitly seen some bad seasons of Padres Baseball but for some reason this one is one of the hardest to watch. Basically they need to spend money stop being cheap get some quality players besides AG and Peavy. I will also agree that this is not the best sports town but its not like they have given us much to cheer about in the past. Plus our history does not go back that far too. I mean you got the Giants and Dodgers these are some old teams that have been around a lot longer than the Padres and they have acctually been contenders for more than one fluke year. If they really want to get people interested they need to pay and get a good squad

Our offensive bright spots seem to be Adrien Gonzales and Kouz the Grouch look a like. I don't know what happened to Greene, and the revolving door idea in the outfield just seems stupid. idk. it's a bit frustrating though.

is that supposed to be pronounced fa-jiants, or fag-iants? because it doesn't make sense either way. it seems like a poorly made up nick name.
