Man, what do y'all see in Fat Joe?

Dude has always been the worst member of D.I.T.C....by far.

Represent, Jealous One Envy and Jealous Ones Still Envy are classics IMO. All three of those albums go hard as fuck if you ask me.

I do agree that he was not one of the strongest members of D.I.T.C, but he still had some dope shit.

I thought the production was always the dopest thing about those albums though. I just never thought Joe could live up to the fly beats from the likes of Premier, Buckwild & Diamond D. His flow & lyrics have always been average to lackluster in my opinion. But to each their own.

Average/lackluster rhymes over dope beats > Dope ryhmes over average/lackluster beats.

Average/lackluster rhymes over dope beats > Dope ryhmes over average/lackluster beats.

Hmmm, not sure I agree with this. I guess it depends on the artists in question. I'd rather hear Lord Finesse or Big L spit over weak production, than hear Fat Joe spit over a Buckwild beat. Though that's not always the rule really.

Difference of preference I guess. I'm not saying I prefer beats over lyrics, but I cant stand to listen to a wack beat, even if the the mc is ripping it. The bad beat ruins any enjoyment I might get. I can listen to a not so great mc over an ill beat any day though. The bad mc doesnt ruin it for me.

Actually maybe I do prefer music over lyrics, just slightly. I mean I love listening to hip hop instrumentals, albums without the lyrics. I'm not gonna pop an accapella of that same album in my car stereo though.
