whatup folks!
I just started working for a jazz record label called Resonance Records. We're a non-profit based in Los Angeles.
The owner, George Klabin, has worked with James Brown, Quincy Jones, Archie Shepp, Dexter Gordon, Bill Evans and many others. Some of our artists are young up-and-coming artists. Others are seasoned vets.

I guess this is considered a promo thread but I thought I'd try anyway! This is damn good jazz music.

I will check for that Charlie Hunter, I have a bunch of his shit but not that one.
Thanks.

i'll have to check for that glasper cat...but yeah-hargrove is really dope. i think the last jazz album i copped was my last trip to tokyo in december...it's not one artist-it's just a compilation of a bunch of shit compiled by dj mitsu called "one more roses". yes, the title sounds strange but that's what it's called. engrish, i guess.
it's dope though. and did anybody ever peep that j. rawls album that came out a few years back called "the liquid crystal project"? it uses samples and live instrumentation. i've been pretty much into that for a bit now-that hybrid hip-hop/jazz shit. (i know many of you are going to say that's been around for 20 years but you know what i'm talking about.) anyways, peace.

Yeah, that Robert Glasper album is excellent.

Yeah I bought that from Access a few months back. Its good, not quite as good as I was hoping but definitely quality music. I dont know I think I expected it to be a little more hip hop or a little more jazz. Its right in the middle.
