Def Jux updated their site for 11th Hour hype (http://definitivejux.net/ads-splash/index.html)!
You can hear a snip of Working it which sounds pretty good.

And they got Bubble Pop up for download! I don't know if I like it that much though... Beat is hot, beginning is daaaaamn good but towards the end you get tired of him saying the same thing.

Here's some more information on the album: http://www.nobodysmiling.com/hiphop/news/88502.php

Looks like there's going to be two more tracks, "Drop It Lower" and "Full Throttle", making it a total of 16 songs, but they are included only on the digital release of "11th Hour".

"Bubble Pop" is really tight; supposedly its lyrical content picks up where the Del left off on “Fragments” (Wu Tang Meets Indie Culture,” 2005). Here's some more information on "Bubble Pop": http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/forkcast/47796-del-the-funky-homosapien-bubble-pop-mp3stream

This single has definately served its purpose; I can't wait for the album to drop.

the funniest part about all this is the fact that YES he was hypin up 11th hour and this was 7 damn years ago. I saw him at cali comm back in 2001 and he signed a shirt that i bought..real cool guy. The comedy is the fact that they hyped it up and he even signed on my shirt "Del" and under it "11th hour coming soon!" Needless to say, 7 years have passed, im not 16 years old anymore and the autograph has faded. This cd better be worth it because that "coming soon": was sure a crock of shit!

I don't like Workin it much at all (which you can hear the whole thing in this video of them making the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnsNLqQ3oP8)) and bubblepop is real good for the first two minutes but then gets a little repetitive then just annoying kind of with that hook which has doesn't flow

So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed right now, but still have hopes for the other songs. His other albums have a couple songs I really don't like either so this isn't something new but just kinda worrying since they are the first 2 released.

well you wanted bass^^, workin it another repetative track, wel see what the finished version sounds like. Well weve heard 4 out of 14 tracks (excluding digital extra tracks), would have to say 'ill tell you' is the most promising so far

was listening to hiero oldies the other day the new stuff really brings me back to the really old stuff, the styles similar more upbeat tempos even uses the same kinda spun out voices.
also listening to one particular track (from oldies) that surely shows a doom influence i think its fantastic 4 sampling on it, 'where the action is'.

Def Jux has a new Del t-shirt for sale for the 11th Hour. It doesn't look like they put a lot of effort into the shirt; looks pretty plain with just the white and black colors, but if you like it, go for it: http://store.definitivejux.net/store/eleventh_hour_tee.html

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1549/delteehs1.th.jpg (http://img136.imageshack.us/my.php?image=delteehs1.jpg)

Concerning the 11th Hour album: from http://worlds-fair.net/del_the_funky_homosapien/

Ironically, Del now believes that his work from that period was too complicated. “Lyrically, I was stretching boundaries,” he says. “It was dope, but I felt like it was lacking substance. … I’m not saying the record didn’t have no substance at all, but I felt like a lot of people were, like, ‘It’s dope, but I don’t know what you’re trying to say to me.’”

So for the next several years, Del virtually disappeared from the scene. Always a voracious reader, consuming history tomes, how-to guides, technical books and philosophical treatises alike, he taught himself music theory, a complex series of lessons that explains the mechanics of music and how it actually works. His years-long study of a discipline that most “pop artists” never bother to learn – and is usually the province of jazz, classical and repertory musicians -- speaks to his dedication to his craft.

Del used music theory to make his recordings simpler and more powerful. As a result, the songs on The Eleventh Hour are bracingly direct. Opening with “Raw Sewage,” it is Del reduced to his battle-rap essentials, rhyming “auditory canal” with “storing a file.” Del, ironically, uses his new knowledge to take a slightly slimmed down, more direct approach on Eleventh Hour. If you don’t believe one of the more intelligent wordsmiths around is dumbing it down, so to speak, look to lines like “I’m a scientific thinker, but it ain’t that kind of flex. Like, shit be seeming like its so damn deep, and it really ain’t that deep” (“Raw Sewage”) to hammer home his new, more accessible tone. In his raps, Del “breaks shit down,” interpreting complicated situations and people, and even himself, into ideas that everyone can understand. It’s his ability to use razor-sharp words to explain his thoughts, however, that make him such a brilliant artist.

Meanwhile, save for key assists from J-Zone (who twists a beat for “Funky Homosapien”), KU (“The Last Hurrah”), and Opio from Souls of Mischief (“Naked Funk”), Del produced the majority of The Eleventh Hour’s B-boy funk himself.

“I love making music. It’s more of a habit than anything. It’s just something I do to release the stress – making music probably more than writing rhymes. Writing rhymes helps me express myself, too, but there’s a lot of stuff I can express with music that I can’t express with words,” says Del.

“I grew up listening to certain things, primarily Parliament-Funkadelic. It gave me a certain feel, and I feel like I want to capture it. Not copying – I don’t want to copy Parliament-Funkadelic and any of the other bands I enjoy. But I do want to be able to do that in my way,” he adds. “I would say this album is funky, but it’s not a funk album. It’s more hip-hop than anything. But I definitely tried to give it funky influences and stuff.”

I'm disappointed. My username by the way has nothing to do with the track on 11th hour. I don't mind waiting a long time for albums to drop but for 8 years you expect 14 mind numbing/take me to mars type content. The production is bad for the most part. There are a few decent tracks, thats it. Nothing comparable to his past endeavors.

He use to always say how much he hated IWMBGWH and how he was taking his syle a different direction. Then he came out with No Need For Alarm which was great. I loved IWMBGWH too though. BSOTB was great. Future Development was definately a hit from start to finish. Deltron is one of the best rap albums of all time. This album is nowhere close to any album he has come out with, I'm actually disappointed that I spent $10 downloading it. Sorry, I wish it wasn't this way.

I'm pissed I drove to the store to get it, and I'm a dedicated fan.... Peep this... the day before Deltron 3030 was released, I actually drove to the record store at midnight to get a copy. The store re-open at midnight to celebrate the new Limp Biscuit which was also released that day, I was the only mother fucker in line that wasn't waiting on that gay shit. I get up to the counter and they try to hand me a copy... I say, "nah dude I'm here for Deltron 3030". Lets just say there was a gang of losers behind me getting pretty pissed while they looked for the new Deltron. Shit was worth it.

Now I'm not saying I'm expecting another Deltron, but I was expecting quality, which used to go hand in hand with anything that had Dels name on it.

I don't understand all the hate about this album, I mean, I'm curious if those who don't like it could actually "describe" what they thought it was gonna be like, or even after getting a chance to hear it describe what they would've preferred. I think the album is on point and frankly I've always felt like Del's beats for the most part, while dope, have always sounded dated despite being new at the time. I've been waiting for him to come with beats like these for a while now. Plus his new "style" of rap has been in effect for awhile now so it shouldn't surprise nobody. I aint disappointed at all because the album sounds like it should.

To make a short story short, his past albums had immaculate production whether it sounded "dated" or not (note that good rap production is timeless, trends are just that). His past albums I could listen to without him even rapping. This album lacks good production. Future Develpment and IWMBGWH, 2 albums he barely even wanted to recognize, both are 2 notches ahead of 11th hour on a scale of 1-10. The other 2 are 9's. 11th hour is a seven and thats being good to the hoopla.

Something about 11th hour keeps me comming back, I can't get it out of my cd player. The more mellow flow took a little getting used to but I really like it now. I think 11th hour is a great addition to Del's collection. It's nice to Del trying new things. I think an artist as creative as Del is deserves some room to grow without his work being called trash.

Anyone who calls themselves a Del fan and is unhappy about spending ten dollars on the Eleventh Hour is no Del Fan at all. I would buy any number of the album if I knew that Del would be able to keep making music. It's a kickass album anyways. I had extremely high expectations for it and I must say that Del delivered. The first time I listened to it I was disappointed, but the next time I listened to it I was pissed off at myself for my first opinion. The Eleventh Hour may not be as catchy as some of his earlier work, but I absolutely love the whole thing. It is the album that I listen to when I go to bed and when I wake up. I believe that if you don't like the Eleventh Hour you have no business calling yourself a Del fan

Just because this album didn't meet my expectations does NOT make me a Del hater or any less of a Del fan or Hiero Head.
I was expecting a great album, like a 9 out of 10, but this album was more like a 7.
It is pretty good and some songs are definitely better than others.
Remember all those songs we heard on MySpace that we convinced ourselves were throwaways and didn't represent the true quality of this album?
Well, some of those made it onto 11th Hour.
When you look at some of the albums released in the last year... El-P's ISWYD, Pharaohe Monch's Desire, even Wu-Tang's 8 Diagrams... all rappers/groups took extended leaves but came back with (arguably) their best albums to date (PM took a longer break than Del to release an album).
I also recently bought Atmosphere's new album and am loving more after a few days then Del's after several weeks.
The quality for this album just wasn't as high as it could or should have been.
Still a decent album and I am still a Del fan but it was disappointing.
I still have faith that Del will get his act together in time to make DelTron 2 an awesome album!

From Wikipedia:

"As of the first of May, 2008, the album has sold 15,545 copies in total"

It probably hasn't sold that much more since then either.
So much for Del using Def Jux to increase sales...
Aesop Rock's album sold 13,000 its first week.
Atmosphere's "When Live Gives You Lemons" sold 36,000 its first week.
Sorry Del. It just wasn't that great of an album.
