yo i was listening to this track today off the 'one big trip' cd, and was wondering... what the hell is "soweto". It sounds like they're talkin bout a specific place in cali, but I can't figure it out. Anyone know??

"Famous or notorious, Soweto is a former township from the times of Apartheid. Starting about 15 km away from the centre of Johannesburg, it comprises some 63 sq. km, where an estimated two million people live. Originally there were only temporary living quarters for the mine workers, before Soweto was declared a ghetto for the black population of Johannesburg by the infamous "Urban Areas Act" in 1923. yea it is. its a sad place. i would love to go to africa and monk around. but that song is so good, its my jam right now.

I was there at the start of the year but in capetown
its very sad when you see those squatter camps as the call it
.i went through one and its a joke no water no electricity
no toilets no one collects there garbage and no schools for
the kids.it really changed the way i view my life.BUT SOMETHING
NEEDS TO BE DONE.
