man, it was worth the wait until about 1am to see Khule rock the Kava Lounge last night. not too many people there outside of the dj's, opening acts and a couple handfuls of fans, but man, if you missed it, i wish you hadn't.
this guy is and always be a legend in my mind, been putting it down since like 92, if not earlier documented than that.
and still to this day one of the og blowed heads who can flip a rapid fire tongue lash to all those babies out there who try and copy the style. hasn't fallen off yet in these 15+ years.
he ran through a lot of early songs and hip hop kclan stuff, a song from califormula, ripped his verse from project blowed and even had his nephew rapping some songs too. it's crazy.
anyway, one of the best hip hop performances i've seen in awhile.
it saddens me to think that to this day, some people know Aceyalone but still don't know who Ellay Khule or even Freestyle Fellowship are...
do yourself a favor and pick up his album with joe dub, in my own world (http://www.accesshiphop.com/store/?itemid=9030). they're working on a new one..............
