didn't everybody get the memo that the discussed album title was the rumored to be the working title for "hip hop is dead"? way to sensationalize a story that had been collecting dust within the hip-hop community for nearly a year now.

I think its fucking great that Nas did that. Even if it was just for publicity which he got plenty of. I'm fucking sick and tired of these close minded people making issues out of words. Theres more important shit to worry about than the title of Nas new album. Or maybe not.

wow, the two experts really let themselves get walked all over.

how could they let the hosts last comment slide, poor representation by all four people.

that was sad to watch

Fox News is such a fucking joke. It's the most biased programming for news.

And I hate that when the news refers to Nas they show the same clip of footage with the lyrics on the bottom. What about the 100 other songs he did that had a good or at least socially conscious message?

Fuck them and their nazi propaganda war machine.

we organized what was essentially a boycott on fox news back in like 2002. we had a site called countercapitalist.com which scared everyone into thinking we were communists. we were the exact opposite. we are using capitalism to counter the status quo.

here was our means of reaching our objective:

EXAMPLE: If you do not appreciate FOX NEWS (FAUX NEWS), then make a list of every single product that you see advertised on the fox network. Start by emailing each of the products a nasty letter that says that you will no longer support their product/service due to the fact that they promote and finance propaganda that is geared towards taking away freedom and basic human rights. Explain further that you will be sending out mass emails and organizing your peers to do the same as you have. it is no way a reflection of their product but in the best interest of mankind. Lastly, we look forward to you puling your ads from FAUX NEWS so that we can return to using your product/service.

Our site said that you could apply this format to any tv/radio station and push your own personal agenda. We only used FAUX NEWS as an example. Basically at the end of the day, we were trying to use CAPITALISM to COUNTER the status quo. We offered a "FAUX NEWS" parody t shirt and "REPUBLICANS HATE AMERICA' t shirt. We also had "NO BUSH" panties but the timing was not right. People were still pretty behind the war at the time. I nearly got into fights with people while trying to hustle them in Little Five Points which is maybe the equivalent to Ocean Beach. it is a very open minded part of town and generally very liberal.

i'd think a boycott would be pretty futile, considering it's main viewers are those that live in the red states and voted for bush. i'm pretty sure those that would boycott fox news don't watch it anyways.

and i watch fox news for entertainment purposes. watching o'reilly makes me laugh. but too much of it is dangerous too, that laughter and amusement can turn into range and anger quite easily.

the beauty of our plan was that you did not have to either watch fox news, nor buy the products that were advertised on fox news. just email them telling them that you did and that you were done with them.

the idea sounds interesting, but i wonder how effective it would actually be. aren't a most of fox's biggest sponsors corporations who use fox as a tool to spread their own neo-con agenda?

nah, most products that advertise on fox are everyday items like TIDE LAUNDRY DETERGENT. i am not saying it will definitely work but if you got one of their sponsors to drop from fox news, it would be monumental. i think our whole idea would have had a WAY better chance outside of the bible belt and on the west coast. give it a shot. we could write an angry email and since everyone on access is at least smart enough to know that fox news sux, we could all put an email together and each send it and see if we get any response. i am down to start a motha lovin revolution in this bitch.

"I wanna make the word easy on muthafuckas' ears. You see how white boys ain't mad at 'cracker' 'cause it don't have the same [sting] as 'nigger'? I want 'nigger' to have less meaning [than] 'cracker.'"

the explaination sounds pretty lame if you ask me.
i was hoping he'd have better reasoning for the title than that.

one of the strongest words in the english language with so much history and pain behind it.
and he wants it to have "less meaning"??
i got all the respect in the world for doot but... damn.
