OK so I just recorded a set with the bass turned all the way up on the MD recorder. I listened to it and it was BUMPIN, so hard I turned the master bass down to listen to it. It was super clear and sounded great though...

So my question is, if yall were to buy a mix CD, would you like it like that? Because I like my bass and I think it would be cool to have it enhanced in case you're playing it on a crappy little portable, but I could see how it might annoy some folks (even though all you gotta do is turn the bass down, duh).

basically, the sound just needs to be accurate. if the bass hits hard, you have to make sure you're not drowning out any other frequencies with it. that's pretty much all that matters. anything else is relative toyour listening apparatus. so i say bump it, but pay attention to your mid and high frequencies.

Thanks fellas, that's what I was hoping to hear. Shit is sounding good, so I'm gonna rock em in my friend's ride today for the final test. There's a lot of DJ Spinna beats on there and the low end effects are sounding SO nice...

Those Spinna basslines carry too. Real wobbly and definitley SLUMPIN.

But yeah, just EQ that shit correctly, you don't want your bass sounds changing the envelope of your mid's and high's.
