damu flipped that sample previously used by madlib nicely. i got put onto insight about a year or so ago, and the guy lays it down. i'll be checking for this album when it drops.

Actually Damu helped a little bit with Panacea's little heard first album...Thinking Back Looking Forward...not the EP, the full length. K-Murdoch is the mastermind behind Panacea's production though, and Damu was his protégé...he met K-Murdoch when he was just out of high school and apprenticing in K's studio...when Murdoch met Raw Poetic they formed Panacea and had Damu handle the cuts and scratches not the production on both the first album, Ink Is My Drink and the Scenic Route...I guess you could say he's the official unnofficial third member of the group and not just part of the back up band members that contribute to their live instrumentation on production and live performances. All in all...this is his true moment to shine, and from everything I've already heard...this is either gonna be very successful (in underground terms) or criminally slept on.

judging by how many people jock his youtube vids, and his myspace hits, this album should do very well. a tour with PUTS would be really cool.

youtube is the best free marketing venue around.
