i dig it. no surprises, just that texas slump that ugk fans should expect.

i like the part where pimp c talks about all the books he read in prison.

quit hatin' the south!

unknown, has living in the south gotten you to listen to more from that region, or have you always been inclined to listen to music from there?

it definitely changed my perspective on southern rap. before i moved here, the only southern rap i liked was outkast and luda, maybe a couple others... the whole vibe down south is completely different from the west/east coast... And the mixtape game is crazy... i'm not a big fan of chamillionaire or slim thug, but the verses they drop for mixtapes are hot. I'm definitely a west coast kid livin in the dirty south, but alot of that southern rap has grown on me and i'll continue to listen to it when i move back to CA.

SOUTHERN SMOKE!

SOUTHERN SMOKE!
word.

as for chamillionaire, i've developed a big respect for the guy. i don't think he has the best lyrics and flow, but he has a lot of good intentions with his music. "hip hop police" is an aight song, slick rick kills the track though:

You've gotta admit they are very fucking similar..Not just the general idea..

But I don't give a shit..I just saw Cham's video the other day for the first time..And thought it was a great song/video..

Don't have any idea who the other dude is..And don't really care to either..

Eh, this new UGK is meh. 2 fuckin hours of this shit? They needed to take a page out the backpacker book and make this shit 14 tracks of their best, not 2 hours of their enh.

Sidenote: International Players Anthem is such a trap. Lures you into this p.o.s.

I held off buying the album for that very reason.

Depends on the standard you apply. If we're talking about being hip-hop as opposed to discussing hip-hop on an obscure message board, then of course UGK is better. If we're talking about refusing to fork over $20 just to hear three good songs, then I obviously own.

overall....the album is weak. If they had just taken 14 of the best tracks and put it all on one cd.....it might have been cool. International players anythem is a miss leading track. Only song anything like that on there.
I was completly shocked to hear Dizzie Rascal on there. Soft verse for him but he is a dope artist. I wonder how he hooked up with UGK.
