I LOVE Digable Planets, but I got that limited pressing Cherrywine 12" last year and it was terrible. I need to hear that album before I buy it.

Don't worry, the new Prefuse will do you for a while. It's helping me deal with the wackness that is the new Prince Paul LP.

Also, if you're a fan of Jahson's production (of Mood) check out his CD "The Resistance". Some of the dopest beats I've heard in a while. He's got a couple tracks with reggae legends The Mighty Diamonds too. Don't sleep!

ahhhhhhh no ipatch don't hate on the new prince paul! it's not a good music album, but it's one of the best concept comedy albums that rap music has ever seen. you have to read the credits and liner notes for that album, paul is a fuckin' psycho, i love it. i don't necessarily like some of the music on there but damn man, what he did was great. he immitated wack rap music better than any wack rap group could actually do. he trips me out. there's actually some dope shit on there too. the chubb rock joint, some of the west coast shit is good, there's a secret track with fatlip and tre, it's a dope album. i knew most paul fans would hate it, but what it is, is a slap in the face to industry rap groups and rappers. besides, the skits are enough to make it worthwhile in my opinion. but to each his own. we usually see eye to i on shit here. it's all good!

I feel you, I just think Paul outsmarted himself on this one. It does come off like a joke, but I felt like the joke was on us. Maybe he thought it would be funny, the concept of purposely making a wack album, but if the end result is shit I don't wanna hear, what's the point? The skits are tight, and the Chubb/Words/Doom song is cool despite him using an old De La beat, but that's about it.

And from what I've seen, more people are liking this one than not.

"Sons of Light" is the dopest beat I've heard in months. It dropped a couple months ago but nobody knows about it (the people I talk to at least). Jahson's one of my favorite producers around right now (along with Mr. Zinn from GoodVibe).

I just ordered it from hiphopsite. Sandbox has it too. Hopefully Access will pick it up. Well worth the money from what I've heard. I hope it comes on wax because I could have fun with that.
