I was gonna make a poll but i couldn't think of any real alternatives.

Do you guys think it will become Digital exclusive? (No more "physical" albums)

What about "singles" only? (All we hear is one song releases from artists and people buy em up for i-pod use, etc. )

The Major Labels all become bankrupt and the industry is forced to re-build itself from the ground up?

The way I see it there are not a lot of people making any real money off of music these days. The mentality that all Rock/rap stars are rich is far from reality.

Where do we go from here? Who will come out on top?

The new ill shit is ASCAP/BMI suing over DJs playing shit without permission. I think they're just suing the venues and not the DJs, but I'm real fucking curious to see how far they go with that shit.

How stupid do you have to be to think that a DJ playing your song in a club is a bad thing?

Digital for sure. I think people will make their money from becoming famous through venues like youtube and mypace....do a tour to make that money. Nothing from selling the music it's self.

These web 2.0 sites are helping in killing the entertainment industry. I for one am against not having a phisical copy of music. I would not buy mp3's if I could just download them for free. I love buying cd's and vinyl though...being able to hold it. (even though I just use the mp3's for my ipod and car haaha)

Screw the major labels anyways. Let it be in the hands of the musicians. I own a business and not a franchise...it lets me controll what I do and how much money I make. It makes the artist appreciate it in the end more as they have to work even harder to acheive what they want. Just my opinion though.

I never understood why there should be a middle man (record companies) collecting huge money off the work of others.

It's not like you can't have distribution companies without the record company.
