but I finally listened to some of his mixtapes, and I have to admit that hes talented. one of the most creative mainstream rappers I could think of in awhile. check out some of his new mixtapes for proof...

Lil waynes the truth! Yo! his lyrical content might not be so great all the time, but his actual talent and ability to put words together and mimic other artists' flows is top notch. and his freestyles are dope, too. He's actually one of my favorite mainstream mcs.

and that song "feel like im dying" is some ill shit! his verses are all about crazy drug use. it sounds real tripped out, like he was hallucinating when he wrote it or some shit... verbal, u might like it.

Its hard to tell with wayne. Like ill hear his songs and he seems to rip the track cause his rhymes and metaphors can be dope but there is no depth to it. its like aesop rock.

His mixtapes are definitely on point, None Higher is definitely one of his hardest. To be honest, I enjoyed some of his older work, but he's progressed a long way since than and his style has become more mature/polished, cat stepped his game up big time.
