cd organization

how do you all keep your cd's organized?
what types of storage cases do you use?
looking for some ideas, tryin to decide if i should get a couple of huge cd wallets or get cd towers or whatnot.

Exactly. I put all of my music on the computer anyway, so every month or so I'll burn an MP3 CD that has like 100+ tracks on it.

i keep all my cds in a huge book... throw away all the cases... waste of space really... and if the book gets full, i throw cds away to make space, or i send em to Nasty.

Shoeboxes and garbage bags at the folks' house, maybe a wallet's worth of shit I never listen to at the pad.

I made cd shelves that fit the length of my (counter top) bar in the living room..Gotta keep the cases and booklets (in my opinion)..

i agree... that's part of the whole music buying experience imo..

have a few smaller case logics but only keep burnt cd's in there of cd's that I ended up returning/selling. have a rack with all the others plus dvds on there but hardly ever use teh cd's (ipod).. i'd NEVER give up the music buying experience though which is one of my favorite things to do

I used to not care....threw away all my old cases and just keep the cd's in giant wallets. Now I'm starting to regret it. I just moved too many times and had no place to store them. Fuck it, all my shit is digital anyway and backed up 3 times.

I keep mine in the cases. I used to be way more anal about the storage of them. Now I have stacks of CDs, out of their cases on my floor...it's bad, but I'm too lazy and don't have the time to organize everything...one day I will...I also don't have room in my CD tower anymore, but I haven't been buying a whole lot of music lately either...no money or time.

i have a case logic book in my car that i'll rotate CDs in and out of though.

I also have an ipod (2 actually)...one is untouched, they other has almost 15gb on it (it's a 15 gb one). I don't have the patience to rip all my music.

I've just realized that I'm lazy, and I have no time or patience. :o

now its all about the ipod for me. after ripping, the cd cases get put wherever...desk drawers, boxes, tower, lost, etc. im hella unorganized with the physical part of it but hella organized with the digital part. yo.

i have no room for any of my cd's anymore...and as bad as it is...when i get in the mood to make a mix...cd's end up mixed up and out of their cases everywhere...all over the place...i need to work on this.
