i don't know how much 'underground' they have, but Spin Records in Carlsbad is a pretty cool spot, especially if you're looking for multiple genres of music..

the people there are also very knowledgble...might not know too much about underground, but good people nonetheless..

they're on grand ave in carlsbad, right next to some bar i can't remember the name of..
