http://download.yousendit.com/161FD2D6388A4FB4 <--Here it is. Dope track, could put that bitch on repeat and listen to it for days. Nicolay has got to be one of the best producers out there.

Sure, I'm Puerto Rican, but I live in Oregon, so saying nigga isn't very feasible. So instead I just act like a snobby asshole to everyone.

why is this?

I'm Puerto Rican too and I hear "my people" using this term all the time.

Personally, I never use it... unless maybe I'm rappin along with a song and its in the lyrics, but even then, i often substitute the word "homie/brotha" into the verse. but anyways... like i was saying... My pops, his friends, my relatives in NY, and a good amount of my Puerto Rican friends here (from various parts of the country) all use that term freely. But I dont fully understand why it's ok for us to use it and not other races...???

I know my Puerto Rican ancestors were also enslaved for many years... but that was by the spaniards... and im pretty sure they were never referred to as "niggers". Also, MANY puerto ricans are very dark-skinned and often mistaken for blacks. I was shocked the first time I saw (or thought i saw) a black guy speaking perfect spanish. It blew my mind. It wasnt till I was about 12 that I realized many puerto ricans resemble blacks (similar skin color, curly/wavy hair, along with other facial features).

But my question stands.... Why is it accepted for Puerto Ricans to use that word?

Cause you my nigga.

Nah, I think the rationale for it is, that we've grown up side-by-side with each other most of our lives. One of my best friends is Puerto Rican. When you goin through the same struggle, same poorness, same schools, same kinda life, you tend to just lump em all together.

They my niggas. I always count Puerto Ricans in with the black people for some reason, I guess thats just how it is to me. Minus the language barrier, and the dancin skills, we're one and the same, knamean?

I know some people are uncomfortable with it, but those are the people I guess that dont feel they deserve to use it. Plus, nigga is a less daunting term than "spic", being that we use it mostly to describe people, and primarily as a term of endearment.

As Cedric the Entertainer would say:
"It's a beautiful word!"
"nigganigganigganigganigganigganigga"

You can say it all you want, man. You got sanction to, lol. :D

but what if you grew up around a bunch of white boys... would it then be ok for them to use the word?

I actually know some gully ass white cats I grew up with. They earned the respect to say it on occasion, because everyone knows it isn't meant in offense. But thats a tricky one though. I know some asian cats that say it, and I dont exactly know how to feel about it, but they're not saying it in a derogatory sense either.

They're usually referring to EACH OTHER. (which I find funny):D

cot damn you are all some dumb asses...... should have payed attention in school

most of the slaves kidnapped in africa never even came to the untited states, most were sent to the many islands on the caribbean not to harvest tobacco and cotton but sugar and rum..... so if you ever go to any of these islands you will see all black people.... history 101
