I've read a couple of interviews where he's talking about the new one and he comes off sounding like a cry-baby... on some if you can't beat em join em type shit. It's funny to me that somebody who has been so quick to call people out in the past is trying to rationalize a complete sell-out by asserting that "hip hop is dead". Sounds like he's mad that he's not Jay Z.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan but he's got some jams (although he is a real cornball). I think the other producers are Premo, Just Blaze, Kanye, Scott Storch, Dr. Dre, Large Pro...not a bad lineup to me at least.

Anyways, I see what you are saying but you can't say whether the move to Def Jam was good or bad until this drops (and I'm anticipating the singles won't say much either).

Hip Hop isn't dead but it's getting real stupid. Every year the music gets dumber and dumber. Jay-Z said it himself: "I dumb down for my audience and double my dollars".
