HELP! How do you resize an image?

So that it can be used as an avatar. Theres a few SICK pics i've seen on some websites and want to know how to get them down to 50x50 then up load them.

save it and open it with paint program, try croping it that way

you can do it there... mine has a feature where you can pick how many pixels by pixels you want your picture to be and it automatically resizes it for you (like does the correct ratio for me)..

Okay, none of that is working. I can't resize in paint. I tried to crop the image, but it's still to big. Any tips?

The pic has to be relatively small to begin with. Check the properties of the image, it should list the image size, make a note of it. Then copy and paste the image into Microsoft Paint (this program should be automatically installed on your computer). Once its there, go to the "image" dropdown menu and selcect "stretch/skew". Then you just have to calculate the percentage to shrink it by. Once the image is close to 50x50 pixels, place it in the upper left hand corner of the main field and then go back to the "image" dropdown menu, select "attributes" and make the dimensions 50x50. Save it somewhere on your computer and upload it thru the boards options.

Voila!
