question about the roots

I think the numbering system the have is cool but the numbers arent consecutive. Whats up with that? The only thing i can think of is that they number all the tracks they record for an album, not just the ones that actually make the cd. Any thoughts?

Hmm... good question. I bet it's like you said. A pre-edit number system..... before they removed certain joints.

Actually, the numbering system is in order. Basically, they've numbered each song they've done including those on EP's. For example, "The Legendary EP" has about 5 tracks on it, which pick up the numbers from where Things Fall Apart left off...etc, etc.
