1992 dream team vs 2004 dream team

i never thought there would be a team (in any sport) that would be greater than the one assembled in barcelona. but this coming olympic team is looking pretty damn good too.

what do you guys think?

maybe i'm biased since i can't stand shaq, but really all those players (except maybe the hated shaq and maybe kobe) are mediocre compared to the 92' team. Really, I just don't think that right now we could put together a team that would beat the 92 dream team. maybe in a few years when the younger ones have more experience.

im still going with 1992 though.

'92, easily. Mike in his prime?.. cant vote against that. Plus '92 has a little more height than '04. Shaq would really be the only player with a good matchup, he'd own Ewing all day. You also have to take the experience factor into account.

If that team were to assemble in '06, I think they'd have a better chance at taking out the hall of famers. The '04 team might be able to get it done, but it would only be because of Shaq.

The players on the '92 team actually KNEW how to play ball. They had class, and had the fundamentals down. The fucking new boys only know isos and 1on1 shit. Bird, Magic, and Mike could beat the 04 guys even if they had Spud playing center and Mugsy playing forward.

92 cuz u can't fuck w/ jordan and co. they blew foos out so bad it wasn't even funny.. never even took a timeout.. but u can't front on shaq, people may say he sux but any team in the nba would take him in a sec..

^that shaq comment is true. i hate the lakers too, but i admit shaq and kobe are the two best players in the nba right now.

but i do have to disagree with most of you that it would be a blowout. i actually think it would be closer than most of you think.

the problem i see is the mcgrady/bird match-up..now t-mac is one of my favorite players in the league..but his D really suffers..and i think bird would light him up..

i think it would be a fun game to watch..definitely not a "blow-out"..but the '92 team would come out victorious..
