i recently went to the s.d. auto show...and i'm still in awe of the new Z...that shit's mad cheap too, compared to the other cars in its price range that is...

it sucks that we don't get the same show down here as in l.a. and detroit tho...

all my friends love the new infiniti, i have no idea what its called. but it looks really close to the new z.

me personally id get the new hummer in black, hook it up with the roadkill grill in the front. at first i didnt like it, but ive grown accustomed to it now.

that infiniti G35 2 door is the same exact car as the Z, 'cept for a few markings and the lights, and i'm not sure about the performance...but inside it has some extra seats in the back, which the Z doesn't have...and it's more luxury then sport...

but between those 2...i think the Z is better, because it has more history...

I saw one of the new Z's at a Warren Miller film recently and their ALRIGHT...seemed real plastic-y to me... i couldn't believe the one they had displayed was an automatic though... why buy an auto. 2-door sports car? I'd go w/the G35 out of the two... more HP, roomier... more features, etc......

But personally i want either a Passat TDI (Turbo Diesel). The gas mileage is ridik. Something like 45mi/gal.

Or a new H2... or one of the older model, original Hummers.

My Cherokee needs mad body and electrical work done.... i fucked my car up a LONG time ago and still havent gotten it fixed. It's in the shop right now getting a new throttle cable. Boo on my jeep. I can't wait to get my new whip, then later on beef up the Jeep for some 'wheeling.

I gotta problem with SUVs, especially the consumer Hummers just cos people DON'T need that shit and DON'T use it. SUVs are the shittiest vehicles made - they're marketed to be "freedom" vehicles, to allow you to go places other people can't. But first off, SUVs CAN'T go offroad very well, and are HORRIBLE on-road. If you REALLY want to go offroading buy a rally car - even the Porche Carrera4 (with 2" lifters being the only modification from stock!) does better off-road than SUVs. SUVs tip, handle like shit, and give people a false sense of security. Secondly, the majority of people that buy them just drive them around town to drive kids to soccer practice and pick up the groceries - get a goddamn station wagon you fucks!
I seriously think there should be a lawsuit filed against Ford and GM for making vehicles they know are unsafe and are detrimental to not just the driver and passengers, but also to other people on the road, and the environment. Toyota should also be included in the lawsuit because of the 4Runner, even though it gets better gas mileage that the American built shit, it's still way too tall and narrow to be safe in turns.

And... a Hummer can go over just about anything (not an H2.. thats pretty much a yuppie mobile, but still sick), but the classic miliary issue hummer......... and yeah, not everyone needs that shit, but i suggested it because i love to go 4wheeling.....

Also about the Wrangler.... 5inch lift and your good. Watch Rock Wars, that shit is ridiculous........

I agree somwhat w/you though.. like a Ford Excursion is really necassary? Just buy a school bus.... same w/Navigators or Escalades.. they're huge, but have like a 13inch ground clearance. Whats the point? Luxury i guess.

But my point remains - the people that REALLY DO off-road DON'T do it in an SUV (they make a specific vehicle with the sole purpose of off-roading). Fuck an SUV! (That Porche Carerra4 I was talking about - saw a show where they took them through the Grand Canyon and it handled everything. It actually had to tow the Suburban camera wagon out of some spots!)

Those Mercedes ones DO look sweet - that's the only SUV that I like the aesthetics of - so boxy and raw looking. And I think those are actually made for handling terrain like the Land Rovers - safari vehicles or whatever.
The point of the pics, R420? Are you trying to show that it's not rolling over? Get it going 15mph, turn it on two wheels and it'll roll - you can jack any car up onto two wheels if it's not moving or going more/less in a straight line.

i have my friend record his voice with a robot filter and then i just play the tape. well when i hit up those i-5 trips, drop it the tape and it is just as good as the real kit.
