Well......JUST got this s**t yestarday.(good thing i had 20 dollaz)

Ive listened through the whole thing, and i'll say this....BELIEVE THA HYPE, this is one of the best lp's outta 05....

This thing still gettin played of my pc....
the's beats sounds A LOT different from what ive herd off the listening, this album has a smooth vibe to it although 9th wonder uses sum of the same snares on it..doesnt really bother me........9th's production was serious on this joint, the listening had more of a r@b feel to it, and a whole different concept, this new one, well you wont find beats like what you herd from "the listening" on "the minstrel show".......this has more of a old school soul on it, 9th was definetley diggin up sum dope samples from the crates, including the sample from The stylistics "one night affair" for "lovin it"

the skits are actaully worth listening to in this album as well, like most albums,. the skits dont grab the listeners attention, but these are no exception....they are hilarious, listen to "diary of a mad black daddy" and see what i mean..
these cats have a good sense of humor, props for that.
Phonte and Pooh, are non-stop on this cd, real rhymes, with material that anyone can relate to....
I cant say enough about this album.
they came a long way from underground to mainstream...

The whole concept of the "mistrel show" and a telivision a fantasy network called "UBN" really put more definition in thier album.......they bringin back the de la soul vibes, and all that........im proud of these cats getting the respect they deserve....This like the user below me just said, its not just a rap album, its pure genious......A pure intelligent rap album, and a clever one at that....

this is not to be slept on, this is a gem, a must buy for the end of your yr list.........

5/5

It's good, but I wouldn't give it 5 out of 5. It DEFINITELY deserves more mics than Lil' Kim's new cd got.

I personally find the interlude right after "Lovin' It" hilarious.

"If it was your times tables would you be lovin' it then?! What about your long division? You wouldn't be lovin' it then"
