Do you know why my private messaging is disabled?

If you want to send someone a message privately, you can email them.

We have to pay for the bandwidth used by the use of the forum on the site, and even beyond that, we have to watch the server load in terms of number of processes running simultaneously and the number of database threads. We disable features that seem less important to cut down on server load and bandwidth.

Also, the more features are enabled, the more time it takes us to administer the forums, and our time is limited.
