del - no need for alarm lp

nooooooooooooooooooo! now they've done it! reissued every last del record in existence! boooooo! i hate when they do that. call me a hater, but shit, you know i dig for strictly originals and reissues just make it hard. plus people who never even heard of no need ofr alarm are now able to flip it in their mixes. ahh well. no need for alarm, i guess.

and hey, about that roots instrumentals, are we talking about the same one they supposedly only pressed 5000 copies fo 2 years ago? they reissued that too? man that's pretty sad when your limited edition runs are getting repressed. it must be because new hip hop in the industry sucks so bad that they have to try and feed the dope early 90s shit (not talking about that roots, but del and all the other reissues lately) back into the system so people will stay interested enough in rap music to consume it.

and finally, is that dibbs tight? there's been talk about that album for a couple years now. honestly i've only really seen dibbs "perform" live a couple times the last year or so, and the last record of his i heard was the soundtrack for that skate video or whatever, and it was ehhh. nice breaks and all..... dibbs seems like he got kinda tired when he started being a rock star with slug. dude records his set to minidisc and plays a minidisc at shows and pretends he's DJing. that's some funny shit. so yeah i'm kinda curious what this 30th song entails.

peace.

i'm afraid so.....those two are both re-issues....

HATER!!!!!!!!!!

i dunno, i don't really care about re-issues unless you're talking about some independant under-under ground shit like that CVE mentioned earlier...

but to me i'm glad for re-issues like the Homeliss Derelix, cause back in the early 90's it was too easy to pass something up cause there was so much new and interesting underground going on...

nowadays it's not too hard...i love hip hop still and there are a bunch of people making music i love, but i don't get the same feeling anymore of discovering a new artist or searching for that 'underground' album from an artist that everyone knows by now, but doesn't have...

it's too bad All Balls didn't see the re-issue light of day, cause kids need to be schooled on that shit right there....half these kids bumping sage francis and restiform bodies (no offense) these days haven't even heard of freestyle fellowship, let alone aceyalone...and even if they have heard of him there're usually like, 'yeah he's cool...'

okay it's my day off, i'ma kick back and chill....instead of getting all nostalgic...

the mr. dibbs is pretty tight....i liked it. but i only heard it once so that's not much of an opinion

i'll tell ya that Micranots re-issue (a good one indeed!) is off the wheezy geezy teezy fa shownow

There is a european double vinyl reissue of Aceyalone's All Balls Don't Bounce. I would give away 3 copies of that for 1 Kaos Cou De Ta EP.
Did you mean that they sold Shane recently their last copies or just back in the days? I already asked a year ago, now I mailed him again. By the way, they wrote on the record "199D666" - did it come out in 1996?
