Cassette Tape SLUG “I Love Cincinnati” On E-Bay!
Here’s the story:
In 97-98, Slug came to a Apogee show, which was a band consisting of Mr. Dibbs, Dose One, Why?, (among others), to check the show and do a little freestyling. Before these shows he would make about 20-25 copies of specialized tapes to sell at the shows to make enough money for food and gas for the trip home. (Talk about paying dues).
If you were not at this show you could not get an original copy of this tape.
Slug worked at a record shop called the Electric Fetus, which is where he got the cool tape cover. Included is a hand written track list by Slug. And yes he misspelled Cincinnati!!
~* On this tape there are a few gems that have never been released!! *~
The majority of the songs that appear on it are for the most part “Demo” versions of songs, that if you’re an Atmosphere fan, you have already heard. Though considering they were made on a 4-track and are early pre-studio versions they sound a little different. Some have different lyrics, or a different hook. Some, the beats are a little changed up, and some, the whole song is almost totally changed.
