Anybody like Johnny Cash? I just got his newest album, and damn, his voice just gets better with age. It's a pretty amazing album...and his cover of NIN's "Hurt" is awesome! The CD comes with a DVD of the video which is pretty cool too. Anyway, just had to say that of all the albums I've bought lately this is the best.

one homie threw that shit on when we all went camping last week and i surprisingly enjoyed johnny's music. it truly is drunken bar music. i can't remember the lyrics of this one song but i think he was just explaining how he got in a brawl with some dude and he fucked him up or something. it was really good drunken campfire music.

as far as 'ring of fire,' i think it's referring to the ring of fire beer shits. cuz my ass has been on fire for a while now, everytime i've shat this week i whipe blood and my shit is really dark brown. this has happened to me plenty of times before so i think it's due to drinking in combo with bad eating habits. i was a good eater and exerciser for about a year, but i just couldn't hang. quiters are the first ones to crack a cold one and rip a binger.

that's how i look at it.

i read today that Joaquin Phoenix and Reese witherspoon are set to star in a movie about Johnny cash's life (focused mostly during the sixties)...

my friend always played him for me, but it wasn't until recently that i started liking some of his stuff...i always just took him for sormewhaty of a funny singer....but no i have a newfound respect for his music..the song he did with bob dylan on nashville skyline (a very GOOD album) was nice

and you gotta giveit up to him for going on so long, even having pneumonia or something or other...this guy is diligent.

the hurt song is great, as well as any of his other covers...you ever heard his tommy petty cover of 'won't back down?'

scott.

Johnny Cash is the man. The vinyl sounds very good. The video is amazing. What else can you say, this guy is a legend.
