Fantastic volume 1 is a lot of the same stuff from vol. 2 just poorer quality. Vol. 2 is mainly vol. 1 remixed and re-recorded. There is some other stuff on vol. 1 too but its poor sound quality. Sort of like really old legends stuff. If your a fan you'll like it but its always better to start off with that tape and keep moving rather than buying trinity and then volume 1.

I dont think SV fell off at all. Jay Dee still works with them and I wouldnt be surprised if Baatin rejoins the group. Even without hime theyre still dope.

dilla is def. my fav. producer... or at least one of my favs... without him, i don't think sv really amounts to much... i've never listened to the sv shit b/c of its lyrical presence... but b/c anybody could spit over a dilla beat and i'd prolly dig it... since he left sv i haven't been too impressed at all... there were only a few tracks that didn't get skipped over on detroit deli...
and your right complete, so many kids are not knowin about dilla... even tho they have been listening to his beats for years... my boy had never even heard the name jay dee, and then i told him what he had produced and he was like 'oh, oh, no shit... gotdamn, i love that guy'...
