Who has peeped this? How is it?

"The highly anticipated from Scott Herren's Prefuse 73 ego. Moving from the softer side of his Savath and Savalas project, Herren creates another interesting bridge between the worlds of electronica and hip-hop, full of glitches, pops, and crushing percussion. But expect the unexpected as he brings vocals and harmonies that you don't usually hear on an album like this, plus all the influences of living out of a suitcase. This is truly unlike 99% of the stuff that passes throught the Lab. Recommended. 21 tracks with guests like Ghostface, El-P, Camu, Kazu, Masta Killah & GZA, Noboy, Beans, Piano Overlord, and others."

Good Look.

I noticed in the "what are you bumping" thread that you posted jazzanova.... whats up with that? I'm not knowing... never even heard the name. I'm ashamed.

I picked it up yesterday, still haven't listened to the whole thing but I'm digging it. His albums are weird to me in that they all generally are better in the second half. Hideyaface is the beat, but then the rest of sides A and B were very similar to OWE. Side C was a little different and pretty cool, haven't listened to side D yet. I love that guy, but his shit still always takes a few listens to grow on me.

Yeah I wanna peep some more Jazzanova too, the couple of tracks I've heard from em were dope. Anybody wanna reccommned an LP?

Mine's on it's way. Looking forward to hearing it. I have a feeling I'll like it even more than OWE. Hideyaface is pure heat.

I personally don't care much for it, though I never was a big prefuse 73 fan.

now that I put it in to listen to see if I was to harsh I take back what I said, it sucks arse.

yeah, I'm interested to hear opinions on this, too. Hideyaface is dope... and the Masta Killa, GZA, and Aesop Rock appearances have me on the fence of copping it.

I bought it over the weekend. I dunno why, I listened to it a bit in the store and kinda liked it and decided to buy it. Some of it's good, but I can just see it going into the collection and not coming out after a week or two. I like the track with Camu Tao, and of course the El-P/Ghostface and there's a few other ones. Basically the ones with vocals are good, but the instrumentals are all kinda the same - which I knew they would be before I bought it, but yeah.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way. Didn't meet my feenin' expectations. Hideyaface, the Wu-tang song, the track with Tyondai Braxton, and track #10 are the gems. It's OK, slightly above average. Nothing more.

I've never been able to get into this guy (no homo). I tried to listen and enjoy but I just do not like. He's very talented and everything but its just not made with my tastes in mind.

That's exactly how I judge if I don't really care for an album or not... If I can honestly say that I wouldn't care if I never heard it again, then I know I'll be returning it.

damn, I was getting stoked about going and picking this up... i'm having second thoughts. I didn't like One Word Extiguisher, but something about his style, if I like it its fucking amazing.

I'd suggest picking up Daedelus's "Exquisite Corpse".. shit is fresh

Surprisingly this album has grown on me and I like it a lot more than I initially did. I still think he's iffy (haven't and won't buy his other albums), but I'm liking this album now.

I think this cd's great but I could see why it's not for everyone....I've always been a big fan and this was just another solid Prefuse album.....Can't wait to see him when he comes to the Casbah in SD in may.....

I Thought The Album Was Good. Vocal Studies+uprock Naratives Is The One That Stands Out. Im Also Into His Other Projects (savath+savalas And Piano Overlord)
