i realize that the first two are probably original pressings, but you do realize that both of those cds are back in print right? i'm not one to stand in the way of bills, but i just thought i'd let you know

Yeah Scott, I know that the L*Roneous and Them CD's are back in print. I'm pretty anal about my CD's (gotta' have og's, etc.)...and I know some other people are too. If I have a choice, I'd like to have the original (rarer) release...sometimes I even get the repress too (I need help...haha). Hopefully, somebody who would prefer the originals, over a repressing, will grab these items. I was not expecting any kind of windfall from these...just some $$$ to get the credit card man off my back! Do you think more $$$ could be made off these two if I sold them at a later time? Thanks. OR I can just get it from him next time I am in San Jose.

I am sure Below the Surface has some mega B they all on his dick, as is the rest of San Jose. He good but not the god the heads in San Jose make him out to be. My favorite group coming outta San Jose is Thunderhut.

that's funny how you say BTS is "on his dick" - that was one of the most ignorant things i've read on here. Shane and BTS support so many artists (me included). Don't talk bad about them like that. Shane puts in a lot of work for the love of the folks.

Dawg they on a lot of bay area artist's dick. Is that neccesarily a bad thing?? Below the Surface is cool, I grew up in San Mateo I use to go to the store almost every day, and I have talked to shane numerous amounts of time.

How is the statement ignorant, when it is true. The fact is BTS is on Megabusive's dick as well as any other bay area underground emcees. Heck they even on my boys from ADLM's nuts, they are official bay area artist nuthuggers.

But is that a bad thing???

only negative thing about it is that they miss out on a lot of good hip hop from other regions of the united states. I mean it sucks that anything Distributed by Boiling Point (They are an eastcoast based Distributor and distributed Both Cunninlynguists albums, Efamm's album, Supastition's album) cannot get into BTS becuase shane says he will only sell WELL KNOWN east coast Underground. How are these cats going to get known if no record store out west will carry their album???

Well this "SJ head" sure as fuck aint makin him out to be a god, I'll tall ya that right now! In fact, I could give of fuck 'bout him.

when you say "on the dick" it's disrespectful. shane represents his coast, nothing wrong with that. he can't carry every rap album in the world. so he sells music from his area. how is that being on the dick? he's HELPING HIS PEOPLE. learn some vocab and you won't sound so silly. if i wanna buy from boiling point (which i don't, they send me promos for all their new albums) i'll go to a more east coast oriented retailer such as sandbox. not to say sandbox is eastcoast, they have a lot of other shit (intl, midwest, west, etc), but they have the bigger selection of east coast (cuz they are in NY). i bet if shane had 25 people working for him he could sell more music, but from what i know, he's only got a small handful. so it only makes sense that he helps his own community thrive. plus he hooks people like me up by buying my albums straight up from me and pushing them. i don't know any other retailers that would do that for somebody as unknown as me. la2thebay and access and futility deifnitely help me out as well, but they are the few and far between. peace.

Can't say I ever heard of those cats. Shamako is ill and so is B Rad though.

and it sux that if you not from san jose and you battle a cat from san jose lets say at the gallery, and the crowd votes, there is no way you can get a fair battle. When Okwerdz battle Mega B earlier last year Okwerdz clearly ripped the shit outta him, yet Mega B gets the win. When My boys K lien, Radio and Skilly battle defjuice and stick figure all of them lost when you couldn't even unterstand what stick figure and defjuice said , and both those cats thought they lost their battle, but the vote goes to the crowd and all the san jose heads just vote for san jose heads. Then when the semi's come around and their are all san jose heads as the last 4 they just switch to a judge vote. Shit is real shady down in San Jose.

hey XoVer, we have the same problem in Denver. You can never rely on a hip hop crowd for a fair vote in a battle.

True it is everywhere nowhere as bad as it is in San Jose. I mean in LA you can get a fair battle, and sometimes in San Diego you can. I been to a couple of crowd battles in Tracy and nobody from tracy even advanced passed the second round.

Organizers who throw battles should know when to make it a crowd vote or when to make it a judge vote.

And a lot of underground retailers if they really want that product in the store will buy the product straight up and not at wholesale. Thats how a lot of underground stores keep their loyal fanbase. But if these stores want to really expand hip hop, they should help their own as well as others from other area, especially when you get about 10 request in a week to order an album. I hate buying shit online, I rather use cash then credit or check card, that is me though.

i feel ya, i just personally enjoy how BTS works, i like their selection. I don't like sandbox simply because they have TOO MUCH and i get tired looking through it. I know what BTS will have and they always come with some surprises, PLUS they run a label that puts out dope shit from all over the west. I personally like how it is. and shane supports my musical habits so it works both ways.

agreed on the judging thing too.

well, when a distributor tells certain people that they have to get their releases from the distributor instead of the artist themselves (straight up as you say), i would stop ordering from them as well, which is why a certain dist releases are not carried by BTS. it's not his fault.

and f*ck all this BTS is on so and so's d*ck. there's a difference between loving music & artists and being crazed fans (on the d*ck)

if it wasn't for BTS and Shane some of these artists wouldn't have money for rent each month.

he's putting out a Dereliks album, that's enough for me to stand by him.
