so a guitar you go down to the fifth fret on the string above the one under and they sound the same (those who know how to tune a guitar know what I'm saying)
can someone tell me how to tune a bass?
please?
Use the 12the fret. That will create a harmonic of the string you're trying to tune, just one octave higher. Then, just use a regular guitar tuner or a piano.

My basslines are all Rhodes, Bass gitty, or MicroKorg.
You'd love the MicroKorg. You peeped that?

never heard of it. what's it all about?
I got all softwear, synth bass, just gets maped out in FL,
now I can finaly get back to real insterments, gonna record some live drum breaks real soon too, I can play, but have no kit. Got hooked up with my pals and have been shedding the rust quite quickly, ready to record when I get back from the holidays. that's gonna kill it, I can't wait to sample my own breaks.
teachin' my self a few things on the keys too, got a lot to learn there still, the bass too, but shit'll come together...
It's a newer analog synth/vocoder. Like a nord lead or a moog, but with newer, updated ocisillators in it.
You can shape some nasty bass in that piece though. The interface is archaic, but once you get the hang of it, you can grind out some FUNK.

that's dope.
I still've got some things to learn, I'm stuck with some pretty basic softwear for what I want to be doing. but I'm always altering the wav shapes urkin' some shit. Sometimes I have to use a tone sample from the deks and tweak the shit outta the pitch to get that moog type funky bass shit goin' that I'm after (some tableist shit). I'll be in the market for a good set of keys in the next year, any other suggestions, actualy, shit, I kinda want my MPC first, dah, fuckin' exspensive equipment, maybe I should rack some more shit not to talk about (nah).
