fuck off with that shit. you know I'm pretty open minded, but to claim Clue over the Junkies or whatever else half assed act because of sales, uhhhhh

Isn't DJ Sushi a joke? I thought it was really a couple dudes from Space Travelers...

I used to post on the Skratch Piklz board years ago, and everybody was talking about how it was gonna suck when turntablism blew up and everybody and their mom was a skratch DJ. Apparently, that shit just ain't happening. My theory is that there's so much money in the game now that everybody's either taking the bitch route like Flex or just making beats... the battle scene getting political and losing all the top DJs was a huge blow too I think... Craze and P-Trix were the only people really worth peepin the past 5 years imo.

And when somebody on the D-Styles board called em out on it, Kev blamed it on a broken turntable. Whoever in Ned Hoddings that was rockin on it after him didn't seem to have any problems with it though. I've also seen Daddy Kev "perform" live by cueing up AWOL One's beats up on a laptop. Wack.

And when you talk about buying a round of drinks for whoever promotes your show on the most message boards, you're just BEGGING to get called out on weak shit like that...

Huh, maybe you just caught each on bad performance days than or somethin? Everytime I seen both those cats I was impressed with their skill....granted both of their production is very very good, and probably outshines their turntable skill, but I still enjoy seein those cats rock it when they do shows, sorry you don't care for them man. There should be no argument for the others I named though, those guys are way tight.

I really hope that was the case. I mean they were so bad that me and my boy figured it wasn't even them until it was confirmed on the D-Styles board. I'm sure it also didn't help that we were expecting a live MPC set, we got to the show WAY early, and they were playing a lot of their own joints. I like a lot of their shit, but I don't dig sitting at a bar for hours listening to 80bpm ultra-backpacker rap.

Somebody once asked Joe DiMaggio why he played so hard 24/7, and he replied that it was because there might be somebody watching who's seeing him for the only time. That's basically the principle I'm applying here. I also have a rule where if a show is free, I either like it or leave, no hate. But if I pay money, I have no qualms about voicing an honest opinion.

He cut his set short due to illness, and I think it may have kept him from placing. P-Trix won hands down, but Abilities set was the most musical of the night. I think it was as good as Spiktacular who came in 2nd, and definitely better than homie who came in third.

Me and my boy went to the Def Jux tour a few years ago when he was the DJ, and as soon as he started WARMING UP for his solo, we completely tuned out El P and just stared at that fool's hands like morons. Maybe the best x-fader control I've ever heard...
