damn... what a historical event... i wasnt gonna go at first, especially since i had work until 5:00. but a homie called me up around 6:00 telling me that kanye west and mos def were gonna be surprise performers. after debating on whether or not to roll, me and a homie finally decided to roll up and left san diego around 7:00. we got to the stadium around 8:15, and we had just missed jurassic 5's set. upon finding out that tickets were $37 at the door, my homie and i walked around to the back and snuck in through an open gate... free shows are the best. we got there in time to see xzibit perform; his set was cool. xzibit even brought out the alkaholiks to do one song (i forgot the name). after xzibit's set, we were treated to a set by j rocc on the tables, and fatlip and imani from pharcyde got on stage talking about how they are getting back together (sure, whatever)... and after 45 minutes of waiting, tribe called quest finally came on... damn the crowd was dead for tribe, but they still rocked it hard (no homo)... they came out doing an odb verse and did their thang... they even brought out special ed and brother j to do a couple classic tracks (damn, that shit will be unforgettable; i also think i was the only person in the audience that knew how significant it was to see such a performance by these legendary performers)... man, this is my second time seeing tribe this year, but their performance still gave me chills... i missed over 3/4 of the show, but i still had a dope ass time... yay for free shows!

mos def did 3 tracks off of his new album, "sex love and money," "sunshine," and another song... kanyeezy didnt show up though... when we got there, though, they were announcing him... i think i should ask for my money back.

LOL you think your the only one?
hahahahaha come on now.
your giving yourself way too much credit.
special ed everyone should know.
brother j of xclan i can understand if people slept on them back in the day late 80's early 90's hiphop.
i slept through xz's set i dont releate to any of his material.
i dont think kanye came on which made me glad cuz he's a producer who's trying to flow the only thing is he thinks hes actually a great mc- weaksauce goat.
mos def was ok he busted a verse in acapella but he's still weak w/out talib. the new danger is the beginning of his downfall.
would have been tite if they had double trouble or cold crush brothers up there to really educate.
peace & respect.
