Anyone listen to old school punk music??

adolescents, DI, circle jerks, agent orange, TSOL, black flag, seven seconds, the vandals, x, screeching weasel, bad religion, etc.

i still listen to the early 90's skate-core/melodic punk like all the bands on fat wreck chords, epitaph, nitro, lookout, burning heart, etc.

punk gets repetitive, as does hiphop at times, but it's good music every now and then. especially when you're pissed off.

Not really. I like the Dead Kennedy's though. And The Germs are as PUNK as you can get. I hate it when people call current bands punk when they so clearly shop at the mall and have stylists (I don't know their names, but I'm sure you know the sort of bands I'm talking about). Punk doesn't exist anymore...

in my opinion those are the only punk bands i ever need to hear.......i agree punk doens't really exist anymore...most of it is all bubble gum pop.

what was it, blink 182 that got best punk album of the year for san diego? lol

Check out Joy Division. theyre not really "punk" but you may like. early 80's kinda new wave punkish type stuff. kinda like a cross between sex pistols and the cure.

I love fugazi, or almost anything on Dischord.. but dead kennedys are sick, and bad brains rock too, someone mentioned circle jerks... classic. they just had a show here in sac with GBH or GHB i forget. they rock too.

I dont mind Maximum Rock and Rocll - NoFx once in awhile, Fugazi is dope and 98 mute ( signed on epitaph) but in general punk gives me headaches its only good when the terms are met: live shows in the mosh pit after punning a 26 of whiskey and getting all your anger/stress out on skinny bitches who all have parents that have been devorced/ touched by daddy.

why yes, yes i have. that's why i posted them. they're probably one of my favorite bands next to old NOFX and no use for a name and bad religion. i'll listen to guttermouth and jugheads revenge too.

i think maximum rock n roll is absolute TRASH though. most first albums are but then these guys got their melodies down and progressed dramatically. fat mike is a lyrical genious although he's become way too liberal for my taste in recent years. ribbed and white trash are my favs.
