may be good news for some but the past 3 singles i've heard havent impressed me at all but you never know
After a five year absence, Mos Def returns with his sophomore album 'New Danger'. The album is a fantastic follow-up to his solo debut of 'Black On Both Sides' and his joint project 'Black Star' with Talib Kweli. 'New Danger' is set to stand the test of time with its broad horizon of compositions and styles from the mystical voodoo-tinged 'Sex, Love And Money' to the Kanye West influenced 'Sunshine'. The album also supports the merging of rap rock with the genre defying 'Zimzallabim', 'Ghetto Rock' and 'Ble Black Jack' which features Shuggie Otis. 'Modern Marvel' samples heavily from Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On' which Mos Def chats over effortlessly.
