yeah, this shit was fun... did u roll pm? the fist fight during the emcee battle was disappointing though, the logos on that dudes hat probably got him all big headed and shit. i caught portions of the two panel discussions, "the commodification of hip hop" and "intergenerational differences in hip hop." both were pretty good discussions, the workshops could've been a lot better though. as for the performances, zion i probably did the hypest 3 song set i've ever seen. they killed it with the amount of time they were given. dead prez definitely rocked it, even though they were only on for about 15 minutes.... i got to say whatsup to m-1 before the performance and that dude spits the trufe (i dont agree with everything he says, but he did have some interesting comments). when they did "hip hop," i was pretty much satisfied. e-40 came on a little before 7:30 (the cops said that they were gonna shut the event down at 7:30.), and he was able to do a couple songs, though the turntables fucked up and he had to do shit off of a cd player. 40 water definitely had a cool show, i was waiting for him to do hyphy though. fuckin pigs had to shut it down though. bastards.
