It's going to be under Epitaph records...he signed a 3 album deal with them so it should be good...I don't listen to punk bands but he featured on Bad Religion's song called "Let Them Eat War" off of their new album...he's getting his name out there.

he's the shit. such a clever writer. he can get deep or he can get funny and hes the shit live. i like him best with the non-prophets project (him and joe beats).

Sage has been laying shit down for awhile. I do own alot of his cd's. The complete still sick set, has alot of really good material on them. If you are sleeping on those I would suggest to pick those up. Some of those freestyles and b-sides are classic. I found personal journals to be O.K., to be honest I havent listened to it since a month of two after it came out, But it certainly deserves some recognition. The work he has done with joey beats (non-prophets) has been good aswell. Hope is a good album.

Im glad he has kinda set aside from anticon, but epitaph for distro. wasnt the best choice IMO.
peace

i think i'm the only sage fan who didn't think hope was that amazing. sage is a clever bastard and there is always at least one great song on every album. e only has 2-3 real albums right? the rest are the sick series?

i have that sick of waging war album & i think it's really dope. i haven't checked out the non-prophet stuff, except for one track they have on the epitaph web site (damage). i was wondering if anyone's checked out the live albums that were going around not too long ago. i saw one at one of the record stores in my area but at about 18 bucks for a cd i've gotta be really sure it's what i want.

Something posted by Sage Francis from www.non-prophets.com (official Sage Francis site...he posts on the message board and shit)

By Sage:
It's looking to be 14 tracks. Maybe 15, depending on a song that will feature a teacher and hero of mine..haha. I can't count that egg until it hatches though.

Right now the people appearing on this album are:

Reanimator
Alias
Danger Mouse
Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy
Daddy Kev
Sixtoo
Joe Beats
Controller 7
Varyk/Lazarus

A Healthy Distrust certainly has a political edge to it, but I don't think it relies on politics. Some people think it sounds like HOPE and Personal Journals had sex with one another and A Healthy Distrust was the result. I could buy that explanation but it does have a style of its own. It makes sense in the mix of things. i can't wait to get this thing released. Just...6 months away. ha

Hookers are tight. Well, actually most of them are loose, but still.
