highly overrated... check out www.renegadeshows.com for the Feather River Festival at the end of august...
oh yeah and I hear mickey hart is handing out like 3500 drums to form the largest drum circle in the WORLD (Guinness Record) at earthdance in september... that should be epic.

plumas county is dam far for santa cruz. 3500 drums would sound crazy if everybody can get in tune.
we have "reggae on the rocks" here in CO.

i must visit red rocks for reggae before I die... it is on the list of things to do...
the only reason i said that about reggae on the river is because its getting too big and too crowded, i personally favor the smaller more "intimate" festies.. i just catch a better vibe..
either way, its all about love..

ROTR has been declared the hugest reggae festival in the world and it amazes me that 16,000 people can come from all over the world (including sick-ass reggae bands from Africa, Jamaica and other Caribbean countries for instance) and have such a mind-blowing, peaceful time. The vibe was unbelievable.
