Man Haight St. Amoeba is slippin. I went on Saturday and they didn't have the new Masta Ace.

Copped the Theodore Unit, and I'm not quite sure what to say about it... there's some dope tracks on there, but pretty much all the good ones have been out on 12" or CD samplers for so long I damn near already played em out. Most of the tracks that I hadn't already heard were kinda "meh".

My homeboy's mom is a flight attendent in Japan, and she sent me this DVD while it was still in theaters here. But it's the japanese version, and the cover art and inlay's are so incredible. I wonder if they will have the same art on the US release.

nas "street disciple" - i only listened to it once all the way through while handling shit around the house... he's definitely matured a lot musically, and it shows.

the cma "all over" - pretty solid.. i like the variety in sounds and styles.. windows, tactics, bad side.. shit gets me going.

the frontline "who r you" - can't believe i waited so long to grab this one.. it surpasses any expectations.. the music and deliveries are so focused and intense.. simple but felt.

that song is still r.a.y., but its not on his newest cd "ray ray".
the new shit is good but instant vintage is more solid. i love that song still ray so much. but too much emotional shit comes out when i hear it.

i've been checking since like August, but it's always that mixtape with "what is it" (although i've heard that's pretty good too..

I was at Rasputin's about a week ago.. they got that shit.

full album.. i'm telling you.. the easki & cmt produced cuts (which are good) are nothing compared to some of the stuff by Left. some of the beats have that rock guitar edge to them, but they sound tight. the last 3 tracks on there are off the hook though.

It's pretty insane... the only thing I can think of it sounding like is "organic electronic craziness" (whatever that means). a few of the songs are dope, but on first listen it sounds like 3 of them have the same lyrics(??).. not sure yet. there is also a lot of instrumental stuff. i guess you could say that it's one of those that takes some listening to, but sounds interesting on first listen.
